I usually have the Spanish-language, marginal, and shopping channels skipped on my TV tuner. But 9/15 was the deadline for K53GF to clear channel 53 so that Aloha Partners could launch wireless broadband on the 700-MHz frequencies used by channels 54 and 59. K53GF was ordered to move or cease operations as their secondary-status signal would cause interference with Aloha's primary-status signal. K53GF applied to move to ch. 38, but haven't received any word from the FCC, and probably won't anytime soon. Not surprisingly, they're still up and running, despite Aloha's request.
Meanwhile, I'd wondered in a previous post if KPHZ-LP 58 would also be affected. It seems that they were, because I no longer receive their signal where it was once crystal clear. So, I guess we'll just have to make do with 2 shopping channels instead of 3.
