Channel 6 digital question

I think I read that WPVI-TV in Philly has elected to stay at Channel 6 when they go all digital and have to turn off their analog transmitter. My question, can any channel 6 that chooses to stay at channel 6 continue with an analog audio broadcast on 87.7 MHz in addition to the digital broadcast? Sort of like reverse HD radio...

If they don't, will there be any digital noise at 87.7 from the digital broadcast?

No, they can't. Placing an analog audio signal at 87.75 MHz would create interference with the digital signal.

Yes, WPVI has elected to remain on channel 6.

No, they can't leave an analog audio broadcast on 87.7; it would indeed interfere with the DTV broadcast and vice-versa. Unlike analog TV that has more energy in some parts of the channel than others, digital TV has signal spread throughout the entire 6MHz channel.
