You've read that right!Harry Martin announced that Fox 5 is having technical difficulties. Therefore the 10:00 "My 9 News" is airing on WNYW Fox 5! It is a pure simulcast...even the "My 9" promos are running on Fox!

That would NEVER happen in Hartford/New Haven! UPN channel 59 New Haven and FOX channel 61 Hartford are cutthroat competitors here! (LIN operates 59 under an LMA with ABC channel 8 while Tribune owns and operates 61.)Just imagine if this were 1986? Supposedly there were power problems at Fox 5. It looked bizarre. The camera was moving all over the place and the lights seemed screwed up before they went to commercial.Master control seemed OK since they were able to run ten minutes of commercials, the beginning of M*A*S*H, and then cut over to 9.Makes sense to have the 9 simulcast since they are co-owned. The dual "My 9" and "Fox 5" bugs were pretty cool.
Anybody have that on tape? I'd love to just see a sample of that. I know Lucy Noland made mention of the power problem this morning at 5am on Good Morning Wake Up.
