CHANNEL 945: WDKF FM EVALUATION

What do you guys think of the new WDKF? They are sounding a lot more rhythmic. However, they still are stunting. No jocks. No imaging. Do you think they have the potential to beat Z93?

Clear Channel is using WDKF as a spoiler, no other reason. This gives them the opportunity to hold both WGTZ and WDHT down about a share or 2 each. DKF was never designed to be a player among any means.

When CC spins of DKF (which will most likely be one of the ones they do sell off) it most likely will change formats.

As well the signal isnt all that strong.

What makes you think this is a stunt? I would say its called the plan.

When is the CC sale suppposed to happen? I haven't heard much about it lately. Usually the Clear Channel CHR's do better than the others, but I guess this wasn't the case. I'm betting my money that when 945 gets sold, they will flip to something weak, and not puch much effort into it because of its signal. But, I don't think that just because their signal is weak, and they're getting sold, they should make it sound crappy. That's not good radio. Drake (the PD) usually does a good job, but this "stunt plan" is getting old. I like the old 945 better. Jocks, Imaging.... when they had that, they beat Z93... ONCE. And that was when it was KISS FM. I don't see why they messed with 945 in the first place. When they flipped to Channel 945, it sounded fine.
