channel choices

i thought i had heard at one time there was going to be a "pay by channel" deal....i have the "best of xm" package with my sirius....after talking to the customer line...(a lot of passing it to the next employee and confusion on their end)..i got the answer i knew was coming....."no sorry" to the question of getting "extreme talk" 152 from xm on my sirius...wish i could trade a sports channel, or i have no personal interest in "outcue".....(not to say that it doesn't have it's own following) has anyone heard if it's going to stay an xm channel in the same style it's in now?!...or if it will ever be offered for sirius...

There's no pay-by-channel deal, but there are packages where you can pick a group of channels at a lower price (mostly music, mostly talk, family friendly). And for one radio there's an ala carte plan where you can pick a certain number of channels. This was a condition for the merger, which is why they only made one radio capable of ala carte. They don't really want to do it, and they're pleased as punch that the number of ala carte plan users amounts to the hundreds.

If you want to hear Extreme Talk, you'll have to get an XM Radio. It's a Clear Channel product, and you'll never see it or anything from Clear Channel on the Sirius platform.

If you have an iPhone or Blackberry with iHeartRadio, you can more-or-less craft the lineup yourself for free by listening to WTKS-FM, the Lex and Terry channel, WFLA (or any Schnitt affiliate), and WLW.
