Glad to see the Bridge is coming back fulltime.

I never thought it was fair to take the Bridge (Soft Rock) off for first The Who, then Springsteen. After all, these are Classic Rock acts. So why not use one of the many Classic Rock channels for them?

With these channel re-assignments, do you know what's being dropped? If The Bridge is going to Channel 12, does that mean "Shuffle" is being discontinued? I know that channel was in response to the "Jack" format appearing in many markets. But in most places, the Jack format is falling in the ratings.

Sirius Super Shuffle goes to online listening availability only, just as The Bridge was sent there for almost a year.

I'm curious whether this lineup change will finally mean that even the older Sirius radios will begin to receive ALL channels. Currently. older radios do not receive a handful of Canadian stations.

Okay, I have a 2006 sportster, and I don't know what some of these channels are formatically, so can someone give me the format for the following, please?

Rock Veloures,
Energie2,
Premi Plus,
and Sports Extra.

I guess my old radio can't get these things.

Next, I know this isn't a good question for this thread, but I really don't know what I'm doing and need help. Ya see, I like Supershuffle, and want to hear it online. I already pay a 12-95 fee for the radio service. Must I pay extra for serious online listening, and if so, how much? And, how do I activate the online acount.

Okay, I know these questions are wierd, but if someone can help here, I'd appreciate it. If you wish not to answer these via the board, that's okay. Just send me a private message, or send me an email: [email protected]

Thanks.

If you already have a subscription you can listen on line for no additional cost. You just need to log in with a user name and password. Just sign up for one in the listen on line section. Only selected channels steam on line. The music channels and some of the talk channels stream. They do not stream live sports like the NFL. I'm guessing their contract forbids them from streaming most sports.
I hope that helps

I guess my old radio can't get these things.

Rock Velours: French speaking Canadian soft rock
A satellite radio version of the Rock Detente terrestrial FM network:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RockDétente
(Basically, Rock Velours has the same kind of music as the FM network, but on FM, only 35% is Canadian content. On satellite, 85% is Canadian content.)

Energie2: French speaking CHR Rock/Pop/Urban
A satellite version of the Energie terrestrial FM network:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Énergie
(As before, FM network has 35% Canadian music, satellite channel has 85%.)

Premiere Plus: French speaking news/full service radio network (French version of CBC Radio 1, essentially)
A satellite version of the Premiere Chaine terrestrial FM network:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Premiere_Chaine
(The schedule contains only national shows, no local programs. National programs may be repeated in different time slots to fill the "local" holes left by the normal network schedule.)

Sports Extra: French speaking sports talk & (possibly ?) play by play coverage (not sure which sports)
