Chargers Change Up

Expect a dial change for the NFL team.

What's a "dial?"

Well lets see with all the money they dont bring in I would assume the only person that would want the Chargers would be Jaime Bonilla on 1040??

It's KOGO. Chargers want to be on an FM, and it's a great way to introduce everyone to the FM simulcast. KIOZ is ratings are bad, so CC needs to leverage the exposure the Chargers bring better.

KOGO/KIOZ/570? Looks like a win-win-win situation for Clear Channel.

Personally, I don't feel like we here in L.A. need to steal the Chargers. They belong in San Diego. The inability of SD city leaders, the business community, and the Chargers to make some kind of deal is making the future of NFL games in San Diego shaky.

I wouldn't imagine that would be the case if old time SD power brokers like James S. Copley, C. Arnholt Smith, and John Alessio among others, were still around, but times have changed.

We're doing just fine in L.A. without a team gouging the local populace. If that stadium gets built downtown, just how much would the cheapest seats cost? The proposed new 49er stadium in Santa Clara will purportedly charge anywhere from $20,000 to $80,000 for prime seats. No typo there. And, that's just ownership of the seats. It doesn't include the right to actually sit in the seat during games. That's a separate charge.

If the economy's bad, the NFL sure doesn't seem to realize it.

Congratulations to CC for pulling off keeping the Chargers. There are alot of good people that make sure those broadcasts happen, now they wont get laid off!
