It's like make-a-wish, only better.

Recently In my area, a single mother was killed by a bunch of teens who were street racing, and she left behind a 16 year old boy.

he's in to rock music, so i took a vans warped tour ticket, made some calls to limo companies, restauraunts, and emailed the tour producer, and called the local tv station (that covered his mothers death) and today we're going to go to his house and suprise him, and tell him that he's going to get a night on the town courtesy of the Vans Warped Tour, the limo company, and the restauraunt.

The TV station will obviously carry the story (they're always looking for positive stories) and you'll get free publicity.

Plus, radio stations almost always are referred to by their call letters on the news, so that'll be good for your diary keepers.

ok, the way you talk about this kid's mom is just sick. Make a Wish and things along those lines are great because they actually benefit other kids...with things like that you are raising money so the charity can continue to help these kids be happy. If you're just giving the kid cheap trade crap to exploit him and get tv mentions that's just wrong. I mean a night on the town because his mom died?!? the kid is 16, he's probably heading to college, why not set up donations to go to his college education. that way he actually gets something that will benefit him and selfishly you get your tv time because obviously that's what you care about..
