So what is the deal with this guy and his "Satan is good" bits? I only heard him out of context so I don't know if he's even supposed to be taken seriously but is this a running thing with him? Is he a satanist or is this a put-on? This is on HJY and not his HJJ talk show.

He is a self admitted illegal drug user.
Sometimes hangs with Hells Angels.
Has a great hate for cops.
Brags about being committed to a mental hospital.
This is on both HJJ and HJY.
He likes what Satan stands for.
he says anyone who believes in Jesus, God, or Allah is crazy.
Hes laughing all the way to the bank...

So basically you've got this guy who no one really takes seriously spurting off about religious or non religious beliefs and he can get away with it because no one who hears him thinks it's for real. I don't have a problem with any of his personal beliefs but is HJY still looked at as some sort of monolithic rock and roll icon in the market or have they become a novelty people listen to like zombies? If people really took him seriously the station would lose beaucoup ad revenue. This by the way is the "More Creed More Often" station. Such a joke and an example of why radio is an example of the underbelly of media. No wonder I've seen mentions here of people like John Laurenti and Doug Palmieri seeing the writing on the wall. I'm not even offended. It's just stupid.

Geoff used to bad mouth Depetro all the time on the air, when Johnny D was on HJJ. One time I asked Geoff why he bad mouthed him so much, and that by doing he so he was really promoting the show.
He told me "of course I'm promoting Depetro's show".
Just goes to show you he's really not what you hear on the air. It's more of a gimmick, almost like a pro wrestler has a gimmick.

Geoff is an entertainer...a showman...and a GOOD one. Sure it's wrapped up in Rock'n'Roll, Satan and Pot Smoke, but at his core...he's simply very good at what he does. He won't be able and/or permitted to do it forever, but appreciate him while he's around. And LEARN from him. He's truly a fabulous communicator.

Nah ... Geoff's much more clever than that! I'm sure he'd come up with something much better.

I'd be proud to know he listened to me for any period of time though ... the guy's a legend! I could learn alot from him ...
