Charles, Stand Up For The I-Man!!

Does anyone else feel this way? Charles McCord should have quit and stood with his friend Imus. I do not really know the New York Market that well. However, I am sure someone with Charles's experience would have no trouble getting a radio/television job.

Any comments?

Thanks,
Stuart

I would be happy to comment. Why should McCord fall on the sword because of remarks Imus made? Sure Imus gave McCord a job and I'm sure he was handsomely paid, but lets be honest here. How many radio news jobs are available for white males over 50 years old?

McCord, I highly doubt, received anything close to the 10 million dollar salary Imus was paid, thus McCord still needs to be employed in order to provide for his family.

So no I don't think that Charles McCord should quit because Imus was fired. And if he is a friend, I don't think even Imus would want McCord to lose his job.

That's my comment, for what its worth.

Maybe Charles didn't agree with Imus' comments. Did you ever consider that?

Anyone know if Lou Ruffino is still at WFAN?

McCord didn't utter a word when McGuirk and Imus were commenting on the women's basketball team. Smart move on his part because his silence saved his job.
And why should McCord quit his job? Would you?

No doubt Imus TOLD McCord not to comment or quit in protest or solidarity. Imus, I think (as did McCord), knew what the outcome would be once the outcry began...I sure we'll see McCord back with Imus when he returns...if he returns...
