Charleston, SC morning host fired

After just 8 1/2 months at the new sports station in Charleston, SC (WSPO, 1390/99.3), morning host Tony Desiere has left the station. He leaves, along with his sidekick, Knox, even as the show was getting higher ratings and more calls.

They are looking for a new morning host.

Wow...what a great indicator of how good or bad a show is... lets base it on the number of calls it gets (or technically takes).

Are you being serious???   ???

Hey guess what.  You can fill the lines any time you want... a trained monkey can... the key is how you integrate the calls into the show.  You don't hire a host to sit around and take calls all day.

What is Sporting News even carrying in the morning?

Change was made for "budgetary" reasons. They're not looking for a new host. (Although they may be looking for salespeople.)
