CHARLESTON TRENDS

Things look pretty much the same as the last excpet Z is up to an 11 share and Chuck is going higher while Drive (100.5) and El Sol (98.9) continue to sit pretty in the 1's. I would imagine when 101.7 signs on, Chuck will move there with the big signal. Also, I think 98.9 should try oldies. As for 100.5, while I love the music mix, it just doesn't compare to the legacy of Wave. Thoughts?

Saw a breakdown. B92 is # 1,2,3 any way you slice it with persons 12-44. Add that with Chucks stellar rise, and Star, well doing what Star does, and you can see that Apex is...well, kickin' ass.

Well, 95SX needs to change its ways, going into a syndication form after 3pm each day. They sound so boring and stiff, and that 2.5 rating is one of their lowest in years on that frequency.

Amazing that XLY gets a 6.5 when they are one of the most boring AC stations on the entire East Coast. They have a morning show based in Baton Rouge, voice-tracked shows most of the rest of the day, the boring John Tesh at night giving relationship tips, and is sleepy (i.e. no jingles). But since they are the only AC, they get every doctor and dentist office in town, so they will always be rated high.

Z93 has great marketing, is out in the community everywhere, and has established personalities, so that is why they have been #1 for so many years.

Yes, that would be a great idea, to move Rocket 980 to 98.9, but since 98.9 is the only FM Spanish station, a lot of people would be mad at Jabar.

Keep an eye on Citadel. They are belt tightening nationwide and in doing so they are even cutting at their success stories. The non-performers and mediocre stations will all be the scene of a lot of blood letting soon.
