Charleston's Real 1340 switches

Over the last few days, a surprising switch has happened at 1340 on the AM dial in Charleston.

WQSC, which has been talk/news "Real 1340" for the last five or six years, and sports before that, has completely changed formats over the weekend, and it is now a beach/oldies music station, called "1340 the Boardwalk."

This means that Bill Bennett, Laura Ingraham, Jerry Doyle, and Mike Gallagher, among others, no longer have a home in Charleston, as the succulent sounds of the Drifters, the Coasters, and other beach music bands will replace them.

Beach music fans will be happy about this, as the only other station in the state who carries any beach music is 94.9 in Myrtle Beach.

What do you think about this?

Sounds like 95.9 when they come on the air may have an opening for sports format like 107.5 does in Columbia. News/Talk I don't think so Sports maybe.
