Charlie Baxter Dead at 82

In the '60's Those of us who were around the TV set in South Florida remember well Charlie Baxter. In addition to his work in radio and as a weather forecaster at WCKT Mr Baxter is probably best known for the character he created M.T. Graves. Mr Baster played M.T. Graves the hapless and wild eyed host of the Channel 7 afternoon horror movies doing skits around the commercial breaks. He was quite a convincing actor and many have fond memories of his antics around South Florida.

You might remember his son Tim who also worked in radio and TV. First as his on camera assistant on the Captain Kid show seen on WKID Channel 51. Later Tim worked on air at WFTL, WGMA and WQAM.
