I found it interesting and disturbing,
Disturbing? Heck, you must just about have a heart attack when some dem hack like Chris Matthews is moderating a television debate. Curiously, the consensus is that Hume and Wallace actually did the best job on the television debates, and they were pretty hard on the Republicans, when everyone, pre-debate, opined that they (FOX) were going into the tank.
but not surprising that Greater Media is having two Righties (Severin and Graham) critique the Republican debate but will have Eagan and Braude AND Severin to critique the Dem debate.
Well, Severin is their million dollar baby, and they're going to give him as much exposure as they can. Plus, he supposedly is a professional politico. I haven't listened to their political coverage recently, but WBZ radio always used to go with Peter Meade (a good guy but a partisan Democrat through and through) and LaPierre (supposedly neutral) for election and debate analysis. Occasionally, they'd add Brudnoy to the mix, but he was pretty much a wild-card, and could be slamming both sides.
As long as you know where these folks are coming from up front, what's the big deal? Nobody on that WTKK line-up is pretending to be anything other than what they are. Sometimes you just have to use your own BS filter and think for yourself.
And, I'd get used to Severin being a constant part of WTKK's political coverage. That's one of there reasons he's there.
That plus management's obvious feeling that they could not have Goldman on without Manning
Well, if you've ever heard Goldman on solo, you'd put someone else along side him, too.
Manning is just better on the radio.
but can have any Rightie they choose on alone says it all about Greater Media. That position is insulting to Democrats--especially in view of the fact that we represent the overwhelming majority of voters in Mass
56% isn't exactly overwhelming, but it is certainly a majority. OTOH. they certainly don't seem to have a problem crossing lines and usually putting Repubs in the corner office.
