Charlie Morgan in at Emmis

Just when we thought nobody could fill Tom's shoes, Charlie's back in the saddle! Life just got better for the Monument Circle people, and my Emmis stock just went up. I assure you he will not let Hank sit there with no ratings. Guns aimed at Shadeland! Gotta love a guy who started as a weekend jock, worked his way to Morning Drive, Program Director, promotions and even sales. He will go on sales calls and hang out in the studios with the jocks, then buy the beers after work and talk about radio. One hell of a good guy.

He's probably missed day to day radio the last couple of years. Seems like a perfect fit. Local radio guy working for local radio company.

Excellent decision. He knows local radio.

What a great deal all around, especially for the Dickeys!

Lets see...Jim makes too much money and HE needs to be canned. Everyone else makes too much money and needs to be canned. The whole staff could be on the circle in less than a year.

Note to Charlie - Bring Darren back. He's freezin already up North and it's still summer. And remember it's nothing personal so you should help the Dickeys as they cut costs. Give all the rabble someplace to go. Personnel, Promotions, Heritage, Wit, life, Warm Bodies. They've all "gotta go" as the huge parking lot at Shadeland has less cars in the parking lot than a K love station in Indiana.

Consider the possibilities...with all the potential money savings on Shadeland Avenue, maybe they can send someone to Lowes & buy some replacement lamps for their time & temp signs that are now unreadable due to burned out bulbs. When Charlie & his superb staff were there, you NEVER saw a burned out bulb on that sign...they were totally on top of even the smallest details--and that's a direct reflection as to how well the ship was being piloted internally. Emmis scores a grand slam...Go Charlie Go!

You know, they say everything happens for a reason & I do believe that. But why Darren moved to Nebraska & 2 weeks later Charlie landed at Emmis...that reason hasn't become apparent just yet.

Charlie's got a couple of losers over there to deal with, how is he going to turn them around?
