CHARLIE SINNOTT THE LIKELY BARNICLE REPLACEMENT

If you have listened to Mike Barnicle for the past couple of weeks you would have heard how much Charlie Sinnott sounds exactly like Mike Barnicle. Have to think that Mike is grooming Sinnott to take his place.
Sinnott has traveled the world for The Boston Globe and seems to be able to handle morning drive and the kind of guest Mike Barnicle has had.
So, my bet is on Charlie Sinnott to replace Mike Barnicle

Next week I won't be listening to 96.9 from 6 - 10 since Michael Graham "Cracker" will be filling in as he said "for one week only".
Let's hope "Cracker" is NOT in the running for the morning slot. That would be a gift wrapped present with a big bow on it to Tom Finneran.

Yep on that one!

All these Boston Globe people showing up on radio and TV...Shaughnessy, Ryan, Barnicle, Sinnott, et al. Is there ever a more clear sign that this Liberal rag is on life support...and no one's supporting it? Clearly, it's a very small slice of that population who can successfully navigate away from the insular newspaper world of The Globe to a space where you are actually 'seen' and/or 'heard.' In Shaughnessy's case--to use but one example--he's better off if neither occurs. There must be a Wal-Mart door greeter position open somewhere for the CHB.

I don't see how it reflects poorly on the GLobe at all. People there certianly can't be as scared as folks at the Herald. The idea of Sinnott as the new Barnicle is funny, as if somehow Barnicle is some sort of icon that needs to be reproduced. Barnicle already was a gift to WRKO and the Finneran experiment.

all newspapers' readerships are down due to the increasing popularity of content on the internet... I hardly think the Globe's on life support, much as you'd like it to be. Also, how's the Union Leader's business going up there?

And the conservative toilet paper known as The Boston Herald is ready to be flushed down the proverbial crapper after it had to pay over a Million Dollars to a judge it libeled. Sweet :)

I am going to miss Barnicle. He had good guests and was a good interviewer and I liked that fact that he had kind of carefree atitude about the radio thing.

I would enjoy Charlie Sinnott but he would have to have a good co-host.

The Globe is far from "on life support" unlike Boston's picture paper that is running on fhumes.
