Charlie Van Dyke...

It is 10:03pmEST and I am hearing CVD voicework on Oldies 950. It happened the other night as well. It seems to last for a short time than goes back to the new voice guy. I was just curious if this was a glitch someplace.

Re: Charlie Van Dyke and WPEN @ NIGHT

The only CVD I've heard lately is a legal ID coming out of spots, which is probably just an oversight.

Also, others have recently made comments about the quality of the audio due to IBOC. I totally agree, that the sound is terrible during the day, but the new night-time signal is awesome. With the IBOC turned of at night, WPEN's audio sounds amazing. The coverage around Bucks and Montgomery Counties is city grade (thanks to the Norristown site). On my wide-band Blaupunkt car radio, it sounds almost as good as FM. I haven't heard that much compression on an AM station in a long time.

Maybe WMTR sent it's CE down there to sort out the mess of what they call AUDIO...
