Charlotte market: RTN and WMYT hit a snag

As reported here The Retro Tevevision Network and WMYT-DT didn't start up on May 12th as planned. Sources say they are still working on an agreement.

I knew it was too good to be true. We also didn't get "The Tube" music channel in Charlotte before it folded. The good news is some good classic TV shows are now being streamed on the internet. Maybe there is something to this internet thing!

Does anyone get RTN where they live?

I bet RTN will end up on one of the Cox stations in Charlotte---what a shame we're going to have to wait even longer....

I just happen to hit this thread on Google.....
We get RTN here on KIRO-TV DT2 (Digial Channel 7.2) in Seattle, WA (owned by Cox), as "RTN Northwest".  Pretty good lineup of classic hit TV shows like Hogan's Hero's, Get Smart, A-Team, and Hawaii Five-0.  KIRO also insert's their own 7am newscast on the channel (while airing the CBS Early show at 7am on KIRO's analog and digital primary channel).   The channel is also rebroadcast here in the Seattle area on Comcast Digital 117.

To the east about 200 miles away in Spokane, WA, RTN is on it's own over-the-air station, on KQUP-24 (and as it's primary channel on digital), the former UPN station for that market.

RTN is on Cox's flagship WSB-DT 2.2 in Atlanta. There is no local programming yet...although WSB plans to air some locally-produced programming from the WSB archives in the future. I don't know if a morning or 10 PM news will be offered.

WVTM NBC-13 in Birmingham was supposed to have added RTN during "early 2008", still not there. :( Not sure what the holdup is.

In Alabama, RTN is already on WSFA-12.3, the NBC affiliate in Montgomery. I think that they may have been on the air part of the day at WBIH-29 in Selma before they flashcut to digital. As my in-laws aren't digital ready I can't say for sure. (I'm going next week to hook up their converters.)

How does RTN work, I notice the website says "shows may vary from station to station," and the schedules are not the same.

Is it basically a clearinghouse for old TV shows?

WJAR-TV 10, Providence's NBC affiliate was supposted to start broadcasting RTN on their digital channel 10.3 by June 1st. The start date has been changed to mid-July.
