just saw on CNN where Jay Thomas has passed away at 69 from cancer. Remember hearing him on Big WAYS on the Murphy in the Morning Show. very sad. Also sorry to hear Jack Daniel is no longer at WEND FM
 
Has the Observer mentioned Jack Daniel?

I wondered who would do Jay's obituary. It was Théoden James. For all those years starting with Ron Aldridge in the 70s and maybe even before that, the Observer did such a good job with TV/radio coverage. Now we have this.

I have not seen any mention of Jack Daniel in the Observer yet.

Yes I am very sorry Mark Washburn has retired from his radio/TV coverage. He was very good. He used to have a weekly column in the Saturday paper then they moved it to Wednesday. And he was always on top of local radio and TV news and changes. But in the Sunday paper this past week, Theoden Janes had a cover story on all the morning show hosts in Carolina Living. But it is more detailed on the Observer online site.
