Charlotte Ratings Updated 06/12/24

Both WKQC & WXRC are listed as Classic Hits, but what a difference in playlist & presentation.

Similarly how Stations like WNOB in Virginia is listed as "Adult Hits," but its Not even close like other nearby "Adult Hits" stations WMYI & WLKO - both Lakes in Greenville & Charlotte...More Variety on WNOB (Bob FM in Virginia Beach) and I'd say that station is more like 50/50 Classic Hits & 80s/90s Leaning Hot AC.., nothing too recent.

WKQC (and even somewhat WLNK) kinda play some of that as well, but like every few songs, and every "other" other song...

Upstate SC Radio has become very unappealing lately, Perhaps on Purpose... How sad when Out-Of-Matket Options Like Charlotte sound better and VERY Refreshing, compared to the same old local options around Upstate SC.. We still lack a decent Classic Hits option here...

Someone here not long ago claimed WBT was #1 6a-8p. If so wouldn't they show above??

WBT has been #1 in prime within the last year. Their audience skews heavily 65+, and their ratings success is very P1 and TSL driven. WPEG is top 3 in all the major demos, yet is #9 6+. Not everything is what it seems 6+.

Yes, GSP has become a crappy market in just the past year or two. The demise began when “Magic” and WYRD flipped frequencies — and I have nothing against conservative talk radio. But I liked Magic better and it should have been left alone. If Audacity would’ve just waited, they would have been the only conservative talk in town (at 106.3) when 94.5 flipped to KLove.
 
I see no point in any of it, even worse that nothing is being done about it; remove the good, complain about the bad....then wonder why its bad, remembering what was good. Stagnant. Neigboring markets have better variety. WSTR and WSMW and WAVF come to mind.
