“We’ve decided to cease operations for InfoMás in November,” a Charter Communications spokeswoman said Tuesday. “This realignment reflects research and feedback from the community that most of our Spanish-speaking viewers in Tampa and Orlando are already watching our news in English.”

InfoMás launched in 2011, and it merged Bay News 9 en Español (started in 2002) and Central Florida News 13 en Español (started in 2006).

“We are allocating additional resources to increase reporting and coverage of issues of interest to the Hispanic community on our flagship news stations in Florida, Bay News 9 and News 13,” the Charter spokeswoman said.

the shutdown is at play here.
