Cheap media converter for fiber

GE Fiber Options had the cheapest we could find for singlemode AES... around $1200.

They have multimode models as well.

I used the Hosa FXT-401 Long Distance converter to send and receive ADAT lightpipe over a glassfiber connection with SC connectors (the ones used in network switches). These have been on duty for about 2 or 3 years and never failed. Now it's a MADI connection between two buildings and studio's.

So, Hosa does make good equipment. The only disadvantage was the power-supply connector. It could not be secured to the device!
