Cheaters Charges

WFAA reported in its lead story at 6PM this evening (Friday 12/16)that the Dallas-area based television show Cheaters is in trouble with the law. Channel 8's story said four crew members including the host have been indicted on at least one charge stemming from a confrontation set up at an Arlington health club. The show "investigates" people who are thought by their partners or spouses to be involved in extra marital (curricular) affairs, then arranges a public confrontation between the two, often with the third party present and involved.

Some of the confrontations become quite rowdy and border on disorderly conduct. Often wondered what kept the police from getting involved since most of the incidents involve quite a bit of screaming, running, and physical contact. One philanderer recently was video taped seeking refuge in a porta potty, which the cheated-on boyfriend overturned.

Film at 11?

Wow that's the lead story, nothing else happened in DFW more important? That's where the their news is going too, in the potty. See, the potty is still best used for reading.

Slow news day, maybe? How did 4, 5 & 11 treat this story?

I'm surprised it's taken this long for that show to generate something like this. It's amazing how far "reality TV" has taken TV down the tubes.

....To say im suprised by the "Cheaters" incedent would be a lie. These guys have ran around this town in reckless abandon in pursuit of their "product" for nearly a decade. Ive been witness to one such incident about two years ago in ellum, where the jilted "lover" decided to hunt down her "man" and his current girlfriend, which ended up in a catfight between the two women.....all of this incident turned out to be staged by the producers.

I hope they pay through the nose :)

And they call this show "Cheaters", when it's the producers themselves who's doing the cheating.

Yet another reason to hate "reality" TV.

Well, seeing that the current "host" of the "show"(Joey Greco) is himself a bit of slime (Real Estate Agent by day) and the shows producer home was robbed under some questionable circumstances, not to mention the ongoing legal litigation between them and original show host tommy habeeb, they are more than deserving of the "Cheating" that has occured to them recently.

What is ironic here is that a WFAA employee was actually busted on the show
