Hope all is well with you. It's been real quiet in radioland lately with just the same-old, same-old satellite fed formats in Talkytow...um, Tallahassee.

I am still curious about what hapoened in Panama City at the black gospel station. Guy that was running it vanished off of Facebook too.

I applied for a little station as I mentioned some time back. If that gets a CP I will be happy to be off the beach.
 
Alan, is that one of them LPFM channels? Or is it a regular ol' full-power station? I was tempted by the LPFM thing for about 10 minutes, then determined that 50 years in radio is enough--and I can find less expensive hobbies.

Yo, Tibbs! How're things in Ten-O-Sea? I keep looking for you to show up as an extra on the Connie Britton Show. It started out strong, but then they told T-Bone to back off all that music stuff and turned it into a Soap.

If CCENG checks back in, I was wondering how Powell's doing with the erstwhile Oh-Oh cluster. Did I see where they blew out the previous GM down there and hired old Ira Rosenblatt to run 'em? He's been around the horn, and back... and knows his stuff...
 
It's one of those LPFM channels. It's all the station us poor blind country boys can afford nowdays.

A few years ago when things were better I did try to buy one of the local AMs. It was WAY overpriced. Now there's no way I could do it.

And probably no reason you should do it either. Most AMs are overpriced, even ones in decent sized markets. It is 2013 (*almost 2014) and it is AM - tough road in the future for AMs not in the top markets.

I'm still around.....but as you know, deer season starts Thanksgiving morning and I will be even more scare on the board....nothing going on in PC....the owner of 104.3 has a few bites for LMAs but nothing happening there yet. When and if I can talk about it here I will...you have to remember I can't always divulge things until they are almost public knowledge.
 
I can't seem to find where to change the signature. It changed during site makeover.
