Would be nice to have some of the well-known radio sales types too. But put out the word to everyone - in radio, out of radio, wished they could have been in radio, or loved listening but were glad they were never in radio! You listening, Jim Berry and Harold Mann?? Or Clark Harvey with his bowtie. Volpe? Bienvenu?
 
I could sure use a Captain Humble, hot sausage poboy right about now! Cans of Chef Boyardee mini-ravioli ain't cutting it.

Ditto, Blair! Hormel canned tamales in thriving Ackerman, MS, ain't gettin' it neither. I was just dreaming of a Cap's sloppy roast beef po-boy, gravy rolling down my chin!
 
I heard from CC Courtney, who told me he is no longer in Mallorca. He is in Austin right now working on two movies and is seriously considering joining us for lunch at Cap's on 9/20.

I hope he can make this one. He would have a great time and be quite a draw. He promises to keep us posted.
 
Just thought of a coupla from early '80s WRNO krewe. Anybody know the whereabouts (the if'abouts?) of Jeff Gerber and Steve Rodeo? What about very early 70s RNO, Bill Burkett? Meanwhile, I'm going to follow up on an earlier "maybe" from Johnny Sommer(s?). Bob Robin, any luck on rounding up and getting an invitation to Don (Estes) McGregor?
 
Can you guys count me in again, as well as one guest?! I would love to come again, and if it's ok I'd like to bring my significant other. Told her she'd enjoy herself! ;D I'm also gonna try to get some station memorabilia together for Cap.

Bob, how 'bout Nick Bazoo or Cajun Ken Cooper? Does anyone know the whereabouts of them two?

I can try to get in touch with T-Ben since he and my uncle were best friends. They still keep in touch from time to time.

I think this is just a female thing, so if you don't get it, its because it is fueled by estrogen. I am terrified of going to his little luncheon. NO KIDDING. I am bringing my husband because he idolizes most of you guys and thinks of you all as true legends. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention he's ten years younger than me. So he actually listened to me when I worked at WNOE FM. As a favor to an old broad, please pretend you know me. Compared to you guys I was just a dribble in the bucket of radio in New Orleans. The phrase "Sex, drugs and rock and roll" might kind of get me in trouble, since I didn't tell him EVERY thing about my few years in the Radio Community. ;)
