Considering that Jeff and Missy are no longer on the website (and I presume no longer on the air), I have to presume that this is a very, very calculated promotion for B100. Note at the bottom it says "Listen to B100 for a special message from us" indicating that they will already be on the air.

Me thinks this is very good grass-roots marketing effort for B100. It seems to me the gig is already theirs, they are just pulling a stunt about it.
______________

I wonder if they're gonna be a morning team or if they'll be doing separate air shifts. Sounds like it's gonna be a 2-man morning show. I'm guessing what'll happen is these phone calls people will be making about getting them hired will be used on the air for a few weeks until about the 1st of March, with these guys messages mixed in.

My guess would be a morning show with all of them involved. This is a pretty good effort if this is really what's going on. It gets people passionate about B100 and gives some disgruntled former 98.9 listeners a reason to flip over. Considering that the Spring book is right around the corner, this is the time to do it too!
______________

Red Hot Brian Scott's site says there's a "Hire Red Hot" billboard by the Ramada now. Also:

"In the coming days, listen to B100 for more special messages from us...you will know when you hear it."

This is looking more and more like a stunt, especially given the absence of the morning hosts from the B100 Web site. Hmm.

Well Jeff apparently took over as PD/afternoon dude on Star 93.5. No word on Missy.

Came across this while looking at the Moline Dispatch newspaper's website: From the start, the odds of Scott getting hired at B100 looked pretty good, with the station's former morning duo, Jeff and Missi, moving on, and Scott having considerable experience in Top 40 radio. They also looked really good because rumors had it that he was hired before he started the campaign to get hired. And they look extremely good now that scuttlebutt has it that Scott is starting his job as B100's morning man next Wednesday.

Go to redhotbrianscott.com now. It says they've been hired after the General Manager of B100 asked them to stop their campaign and that they should talk it over. LOL They start at 7:15 Wednesday morning. Looks like they've got some remotes lined up already, starting this Wednesday night.
