Cheers on Reelz

Reelz has also been airing the Ted Danson show Becker.

Speaking of Becker, does anyone know the real reason Terry Farrell got fired from that show?

From Wikipedia:

Terry Farrell's dismissal

Between the fourth and fifth seasons, Terry Farrell was fired.[3] She has told interviewers that it came as a complete shock to her and that she is unsure of exactly why it happened, although she reportedly led a strike among the show's cast. Nancy Travis was hired just before Farrell's dismissal, and became a regular after the dismissal.

Nancy Travis, who replaced Farrell, was originally hired just to appear in a few episodes.

I had heard the same thing, that Ted Danson had managed to negotiate a big raise for himself, but nothing
for the other cast members. Feeling this was unfair Farrell apparently organized a strike/protest or raised
some sort of stink about it. Danson, also being the Executive Producer, apparently did not appreciate that
and had her written out of the show.

Would be ironic if true, a big-time Liberal like Ted Danson coming down with both feet on one of his
employees for engaging in union activity.

Liberal or conservative doesn't really matter. What matter is what an individual can get for themselves. In this case Danson wanting more money.

What is a bit of irony here is that "Becker" didn't last very long after Farrell was let go. Even the actor who played 'Bob' left the show before it was finally canceled.

So being consistent with your expressed beliefs (i.e. not a hypocrite) doesn't matter?

I know people with whom I have serious political disagreements, but I respect them for being
sincere and willing to "walk the walk" in terms of standing behind their own beliefs.

Ted Danson would appear to be not that sort of guy.
