Cher Lloyd - Oath

I am surprised there hasn't been a thread started about this song yet. Any thoughts about it? It's growing on me, but I don't think it's as good as Want U Back.

^You sure like those bubble-gum pop 20-something females ;D

Honestly, I don't think this, or the two similar songs with threads below it, are going to make it out of the 20s - this post-Katy Perry stuff is getting to be been-there done-that

Well, "Die Young" by Ke$ha has been quite a smash, so I don't know if I'd call that kind of pop "been there done that"...

Speaking of Katy Perry, I'll be interested in hearing what direction she goes in next - I liked the sound of "Wide Awake", somewhat more serious than most of her other hits (same with "One That Got Away")

It will be interesting to see what happens since Katy Perry won't be able to work with the man that really crafted her sound, Dr. Luke. When he got his label deal with Sony, there was an exclusivity clause that states that for the next five years, he can only work with acts that are on Sony.

For me, Kesha is more dark and edgy than Katy Perry, more like Nicki Minaj without the rapped verses - besides, Kesha was pre-Katy Perry (as of this era), not post - so she definitely isn't a Katy Perry imitator

Thanks for the laugh in the first post Atlantaboy. This song though has probably the least potential of the 3 songs in similar threads below. I don't quite understand why KBKS hasn't jumped on Ready Or Not yet when KQMV has it in power?
