Is it me, or does this woman sound like she hates her job? To me, she sounds completely disinterested in what she is reporting, and also has an obnoxious habit of cutting off other broadcasters just as they are closing their reports. Please tell me there is at least one one listener who feels the same as I do about this woman...
 
This topic has been discussed here before, but the thread in question is not turning up in Search. I think your first sentence said it best, baldmike - she sounds like she hates her job.
 
Given all the long-standing contention between staff and management at KYW, maybe she does hate her job. Maybe she has good reason to hate her job. Maybe she's not alone.
 
glad to see i'm not the only one who is scratching her head wondering why this woman, who obviously hates her job, is still on the air. isn't management aware of her grumpy, bored delivery? there was a wonderful woman on there in the evenings who passed away a couple years ago.
 
Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. I don't listen much during the evenings, so I am curious as to whom you are referring.

Seems Cheryl is still doing the Get.Out.Of.My.Studio! thing. From the sound of it, she's reading a lot of the stuff cold. Sad.
 
Indeed. I'm listening to her right now. God, I hate how she barges in & talks over people. Amazing that she gets away with it.
 
I don't know who you're listening to, but Elias is the only one on the station I can Listen to. All the others repeat practically word for word, hour after hour, except her. Cheryl's reports are so much more varied and interesting. She includes more news and even has stories that make me chuckle. Besides,she sounds down to earth, not hopped up and fake like some of those other gals I could name!
