Cheryl Godfrey

I don't know ..but she was canned from kdwn for backing russo against gwinn in the Nevada govener's race..reese and williams ran a tight ship and if the political skids weren't greased in the right way they took action......she was going to do a show on 1060am with russo...but it never materialized....Russo might have a website...use search engine to find...maybe he knows....i think the website is freedomtofascism.com .... he has a new movie out.. he was the hollywood guy behind the "rose" and Eddie Murphy etc.

Another reason to be grateful that KDWN has been sold and is likely not long for its current format.

I read on wikipedia that Cheryl died in 2000. We were great friends and worked together at KDWN. I had not heard of her death. If anyone knows more, please confirm and add details.

Don't know where Cheryl is, but I do remember her on air!!! The Russo in question was Aaron Russo, he managed Bette Midler early in her career, and produced "The Rose", "Trading Places", and "Teachers". Russo passed away in 2007 due to bladder cancer. I was able to meet him when I was Lou Epton's Board Op. Where the hell is Lou Epton?!!

Cheryl is alive and kicking. She is doing well , but is no longer in radio.

I'm glad Cheryl is alive. Did anybody take the false information off Wiki?

She needs to get back on the radio. I would like to hear her take on everything going on right now.

From the net: the LV review journal reported that Frank DaSpina of KNUU, Lou Epton of KXNT and Cherly Gogfrey of KDWN, supported Aaron Russo (pasted) against Kinney Gwinn for Governor. Guess she was the only person that lost their job at the time over it.
