Chester Coleman Dead At 62

It was recently noted here that Concord's KABN/1480 (formerly KWUN) had its license deleted by the FCC. According to All Access, Chester Coleman, KABN's last owner and a well-known station broker, died yesterday at the age of 62.

Condolences to family and friends of AMERICAN RADIO BROKERS founder and longtime station owner CHESTER COLEMAN, who died MONDAY in SAN FRANCISCO at 62. COLEMAN, who began his career as an engineer, later owned stations in ALASKA (at his death, KAXX and KADX/ANCHORAGE) and IOWA (KDLS-A-F/PERRY, IA, recently sold).
D.J.

It's a little ironic that KWUN officially gets deleted at the same time.... I only met him once there.
