What has happened to this radio station? The morning show is a joke and a disaster.

What happened to Joe Thomas? Is he at this station anymore? I hear him on promos but never on the air and he's not listed on the website. Does he work with WCOJ still?
 
Joe Thomas was jettisoned by WCOJ earlier this year and now continues working at WDEL/WSTW in Wilmington part time. It was quite ironic that Joe got the hook and not Rob Henson, who mimics a "local" morning newscast that has no local news. The new WCOJ morning host was apparently pulled in off the street and asked if he wanted to host a radio show. It has not worked for a minute. Joe is sadly missed and certainly did his best to make a silk purse out of that sow's ear of a radio station.

I'm in for Rick and Jerry on the 3rd and Al Mascitti on the 4th (Plus every Sat 9-12 on WDEL and Sunday 9-2 on WSTW) Also, I've been doing some fill ins at Metro. (Some traffic for KYW and news for WRNB) I'll be hosting Wilmington's fireworks at Tubman-Garrett park starting at 7pm on Wednesday. Stop by and say hi.

Joe! I miss you too. And Steve has a good point... you really did have a good morning show. I hope some PD out there grabs you and puts you back on the air full time.

Thanks for the info. Henson is the afternoon guy too, right? I stopped listening to his show the day I heard him question whether the Holocaust occurred. He always did phony Asian accents ("pok flied lice"). He's a real ass-clown.
 
Considering that my friend of 30 years lost a great uncle and aunt in the holocaust and I have visited 2 holocaust sights, I would like you to offer some "proof" of me doing that. You can't you because it never happened. But thanks for lying.

As for the Asian stuff..... will someone please sick The reverand Jesse and Al on me so I can go make my pennance to Ted Kennedy.
 
You would think that with all the noise on this board..a MAJOR MARKET BOARD..about this little suburban radio station..it would sound like this operation was running a 50 gallon clear channel AM and a full class "C" FM to boot. It's a suburban station...who cares?? Is there NOTHING in the Philadelphia market that's worth talking about??? Who could possibly care what some guy doing a morning show in a little town outside of Philly is doing? You all need a life. I guess I do too...I can't believe I'm commenting on something so inconsequential.

A) Raising our kids to be good people and upstanding citizens of our community is the ONLY thing of consequence that any of us do. EVERYTHING else is "inconsequential." That said... Regarding my former and current stations and their status on this board...

If everyone felt the way you do, Pat's and Gino's would have closed the minute McDonald's started selling cheese steaks.
