Chet Buchanan just sounds terrible.

I don't know why but I just find Chet Buchanan and the Morning Zoo as stupidity in my ears. The crew is terrible, it sounds like a small-market show, and a lot more things. Don't get me wrong - I understand they are pretty much the voice of the station, but I don't like them.

BTW, is it me or does KLUC's website has to be the WORST CHR website I've seen? CBS Radio could do better than that.

Their ratings say otherwise, if they are so bad, and you are so good, get a morning show and beat them. I do agree about Spence and his phone calls. The guy is an ass!

In January, they ranked as follows:

#7 adults 18-34
#9 adults 18-49
#10 adults 25-54

I don't know how long you have been in radio, or if you ever have worked in radio, but you don't panic on one month's ratings. Chet has had years of success here. Before you bag on him, ask yourself these questions. Is the show keeping up with the rest of he dayparts? It could be the music or ther show...Depends on the numbers for ALL dayparts, not just mornings. You don't jump ship because of one bad month. Has CBS done a focus group of some sort? Just to say he sounds terrible isn't saying much. I do agree with the phone calls. To me, it is tired sounding, but I listen everyday. I am retired so I can't speak for the average listener. Cat Thomas is a GREAT P.D. so I am sure he will figure it out.
One thing I don't like about PPM is the fact that people keep the instruments for one year. One book I could understand, but one year, ugh! The same people dictating numbers for a solid year. I see The Point's numbers and I cringe! Lotus better book every spot they can now, because in one year, it will be a different story, mark my words.

One month does not make a show - but KLUC has seen a decline in PPM - the morning show being the largest.
