Kudos to the stations running HD-2! I was down in Chicago today, and was able to scan around the dial...I love B96's dance format, and the 80's format on WTMX (though they really should do something different than the web stream)!

Anyway, very good implementations of HD all around, very nice!!<P ID="signature">______________

Rub it in Doc! My HD2 receiver is on its way however!!!! WHO HOOO Was down at CC Chicago and heard the HD2 channels and they do sound good. Even with the lower bandwidth the HD1 channels sound better than analog.

Happy new year to you my friend!

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised. I thought that adding the second channel wold make them both sound bad, but not in this case. I would say that it's less than CD quality, but better than FM quality.

And, happy new year to you - may your cell phone remain mostly quiet in the new year!

It has been fairly quite... due to the fact that I am not only on vacation, but my honeymoon (yes I finally got hitched!!)

Of course that did not stop someone from calling me CHRISTMAS NIGHT just as the new wife and I we about to slip into the neighbors hot tub.... Yes I did need to go in. UGH

ANYWAYS (to keep this on radio)..Yes HD2 does sounds pretty darn good, and as you said better than analog.

Can anybody post an MP3 sample of an HD station? I'm curious to see how well it sounds before I buy. I'm saving up for when the home radios come out.

An MP3 would not do it justice. If you are in teh Milwaukee area let me know and I can give you a good demo.
