Chicago Radio Legends.

It almost sounds as if Robert Murphy would be willing to come back to radio if the right offer came forth, here to hoping hearing him back on the air maybe on WGN with Garry Meier.

Anyway what type of problem forced Bob Wall off the air after his hiatus, that thing down south ?

People complained about the situation that forced him off the air in Chicago to begin with in the late 80s.

It was widely reported that Mr. Wall was allegedly taking sexual liberties with a MUCH underage woman at an address around Belmont & Kimball on Chicago's NW side.

I don't know where she lived but the lady in question was reportedly his baby sitter.

Nate Clay can be heard every once in a while filling in for Jake Hartford on WCPT AM/FM. He hasn't had a regular
gig since his overnight weekend show on WLS.

In my opinion, Murph, much like Lujack, is best when he can play a few songs every hour instead of a straight talk format.

Murph is also better with sidekicks just like Lujack is better with Tommy.

Jerry Layton was great. Few people remember his sense of humor.

Well, I should have said MY legend list.

ps Jerry Leighton is there because of the MUNTZ TV commercials he did. "Call Esterbrook 9-6777, use the quarter meter plan and have color tv in your home tonight."

His ads in the trades spelled it Leighton.

You're right about the spelling. http://www.wsgs.com/jerry.htm

I remember Bill O'Connor doing the commercials for CET television. Call Mohawk 4-4100
