Oh he's still alive! The #1 listened to AM Music Personality at one time. Anyway seems he filmed some great footage of the old Transtar Colorado Springs, Transtar L.A., Unistar L.A. & Valencia. See some of your favorite LARP's during this 8 minute tour, and its 100% Beau Weaver free!

Guglielmo Marconi was his engineer. :D

I wish this site allowed us to make corrections to our posts when we notice an error. Oh sure, we have something like five seconds but we don't always notice the mistakes right away.

True.

And "100% Beau Weaver free" isn't a selling point. I might have actually watched it all the way through if I'd thought Beauregard Rodriguez Weaver might make an appearance.

I knew Chick had been around a while, but 1897?

That's almost as long as Art Laboe!
Chick would ask you, "Do you like Coffee" and before you could answer he would rip off his rug and say "Look what it did to me"? He had a magicians ring which he would load with Flash paper and say look, or have someone pick up a paper he dropped and then activate his ring! He was incredibly talented, aside from his Colorado Springs Transtar work it seems . I know he was popular in Cleveland and worked at KOY. Chick was pure fun and not born in 1897. ;D Great programmer of pehaps the finest Format Unistar offered? Format 41 was starting to fizz out.

On a scary note, I met Art along with the Penthouse Pets when I was 17 and he was 55. I thought he was really old. I'll be really old in 3 months!

Oh and I had Chick play Tom Clay's "What the World Needs Now" on MoWest records. The complaints poured in! :-[

"What is segregation?" "I don't know what seggeration is." "What is bigotry?" "I don't know what biggery is." "What is prejudice?" "I think it's when somebody's sick." That got complaints? Exactly how many Ku Klux Klan members were listening that day?

In the 1970s Chick Watkins was a DJ and program director at WGAR in Cleveland.
