Chief engineer for NextMedia ENC cluster passes

Don Brown, chief engineer for the NextMedia ENC cluster of stations (WERO, WRNS,
WILT, etc) passed away over the weekend. He was a shining example of the old-school brand of RF engineer who knew his transmitters and towers inside and out. Our thoughts are with his family during this time.

They don't make engineers like him anymore.

I worked on occasion with Don when I was at Pinnacle Broadcasting before and after it became NextMedia, from December 1997 through May 2000. He was very a good engineer and from what I could gather, a great guy to conversate with. He will truly be missed. My condolences to his family.
