Chief Engineer

Most of us are quite capable of making a living outside the radio industry and I will leave the business if there is no other choice than work for Cumulus.

I feel exactly the same way. I've heard horror stories from anchors, reporters, and technical folks. Whoever takes that gig will have YEARS of cleanup to do after the previous CE. That build-out is horrendous. I have a lot of sympathy for folks having to work under those conditions. But I'd leave the biz before I worked for that company. Clear Channel ain't got nothing on Cume-less.

At least Bain-Channel understands that they have to keep some level of engineering staff and equipment around to keep things going. Cumeless in most markets doesn't seem to respect even engineering. Burn baby burn... Time will be a hard teacher for them as their company unravels at the seams...
