Chio Has Announced he's moving back to the area. His show will be based at Mix 106.1 Starting January 5th

Do you think his first stunt will be to go to a restaurant without money and try to get out without paying for it?

returning

If Chio was so good, why did he leave Q? [I think that's where he was before].

Coming back to philly usually means failure in their previous market, so what is he expected to bring to Mix106? Serious question, as I stopped listening to local FM radio for music until this past October, when WDAS-FM brought back "Black Dance Music" in the form of Steve Mason's Saturday Night/Sunday morning mixshow.

I think Q (clear channel) just didn't renew his contract..then he showed up at Wired ...then got the boot from them..a few years ago.. I just remember reading about it.. I rarely listened to Chio.. He's probably 50 by now... Surprised he isn't trying political talk radio..like every other older radio personality.

What is "Black Dance Music" as opposed to "White, Hispanic, Asian or Indian Dance Music", kinda bigoted don't ya think....

I think he has been doing mornings in San Diego & Philly. He does 6-9am ET in Philly & 6-10am PT in San Diego. He used to do both shows out in San Diego. He now does both shows here in Philly. I guess doing the Mix morning show live from the west Coast 3-6am PT was a little much. I guess it's easier to do the San Diego show live from Philly 9am-1pm ET.

White dance music is currently being called EDM [European Dance music], so i'm not bigoted. Asian/Indian [yes, Indians are Asian] dance music includes things like bangara, so, once again, i'm not bigoted.

When stations like Mix106/Q102/Wired96.5 start playing the same kind of dance music or remixes that Steve Mason, on WDAS-FM, plays [and if you listened or were ever a Club DJ you would hear and recognize the differences], then maybe you would understand. Go to http://traxsource.com/top/tracks or http://re-mix.me/soulful-house/ and listen to any mixes or songs listed as "Soulful House" to educate yourself.
