hi
there is a post on the san diego board about chio leaving san diego to come back to philly. does anyone know about this? is he coming back to q102?

Well, he's definitely off Z90. I wonder how easy it will be for him to return to Q102 if he chooses to do so. I kinda hope he doesn't, to be honest with you. I'd like some new blood to take over mornings over there. But I'm sure they'd love to have him back. He allegedly (and miraculously) posted good numbers.

Really....a guy is at one station for an eternity and is at another one less than a month? Was this is a setup to get him fired?

It doesn't seem like he was gone all that long, did he suck over on z90?

No. He had a great working relationship with XHTZ PD Rick Thomas and was a favorite among listeners in San Diego. I believe this was Chio's personal descision to leave, not the station's.

did they just kick him off the air?

I read on R&R or some trade site that it was for family reasons.

Yes. Chio did NOT get fired. He left on his own.

Just wondering how he became "a favorite among listeners in San Diego" if he was only on the air three days. Did he have a gig out there in the past?

Yes. He was also at XHRM, KKLQ and KHTS prior to joining WIOQ.

Noticed that Tic Tak is out of his night gig in Detroit. Wonder if Q could be eyeing him for mornings.

Thank you for someone finally saying he left for family reasons. I read that
in 3 trades....

The amount of self made-up BS is amazing on these posts...... Yes, Chio made a very difficult but honorable decision. He left a great gig to put his family first... as it should be.
