CHMJ AM 730 Vancouver BC

I heard CHMJ earlier this year in Napa Valley. KCBS was having some apparent signal issues at the time, IIRC.

In the summer of 85 I lived in Vancouver when they were top for LG 73. A friend of mine went to Hawaii for vacation and like any other teen brought his radio with him. When he arrived that night and turned it on, he heard them loud and clear. He was so excited to be able to hear his favourite station while on vacation.

Good to see somebody is a big fan of that all traffic format! ;D

A few years ago when I was in Hawaii I heard 730 from Vancouver there. There's nothing like listening to traffic reports at 2AM (yawn) ;D

Because the city is connected by a series of bridges (and at least one tunnel) and is prone to major snarls, traffic reports at odd hours probably make more sense than in Vancouver than elsewhere.
Take it from a guy who's been late for more than a few appointments, "missed the boat" for the ferries, etc.  ;D  I usually find myself flipping to 730 a time or two while I'm in town.

But ALL traffic at 2AM is indeed a pointless yawn.

All traffic is actually beating all sports on 1410 in the ratings...go figure....but as LG 73 in their top 40 days, they had a HUGE audience, and were apparently popular in Hawaii with people who didn't have FM in their cars in the 80's.

1410 has some competition in the all-sports space, IIRC. I want to say 1040 is all sports, but I stand to be corrected. My impression is that 1410 (CFUN or whatever it is) has been really struggling. The last time I listened for any length of time was a few years back driving up from Seattle. At that time, they weren't sports but it was a painfully lame talk or perhaps news/talk format.

You are correct 1040 is also sports own by the same company. One is FOX sports and the other is ESPN.
