CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW A 5.000 WATT CHANNEL CAN BE HEARD 500 MILES AWAY IN NEW JERSEY? IT'S SIGNAL IS CRYSTAL CLEAR AT NIGHT. OTHER 5,000 WATT STATIONS IN THIS AREA, HARDLY HAVE A 40 MILE RADIUS.

And why it can boom into New Jersey

900 CHML has been 50 kw day and night since 1978.

On my way to Toronto once I spotted an inline array parallel to the Queen Elizabeth Way just east of Hamilton. Turns out they were the towers for CFTR (now 680 News).
