Choice For CHR

Living in Miamisburg by the Dayton Mall, I have many options for CHR and I'm just curious on everybody's preference.

97.9 WNCI - Mainstream CHR/Columbus
Channel 999 - Mainstream CHR/Dayton
G1013 - Adult CHR/Richmond, IN
Click 1015 - Modern AC/Dayton
Q102 - Adult CHR/Cincinnati
Hot 1029 - Rhythmic CHR/Dayton
KISS 107 - Mainstream CHR/Cincinnati

Q102 by FAR!!! It's the only live/local station left between all the stations you listed & it sounds great music-wise in all dayparts!!! Patti Marshall & Brian Douglas do a phenomenal job, as well as Jeff, Jen, Fritsch, Holly Morgan, Brian & Laura Powell & JonJon!!!

Q102 is good but it leans Female, compared to the old days in the 80's when you had Q102 going up against WEBN with Radio Wars with them dumpster diving each others garbage and The Frog is Dead song parodies. That was fun radio!!

Most all stations were more "Flame Throwing" in the 80s. Z-93 even proclaimed in one bit of imaging that "We're the new Z-93, DAMMIT!!!" back in the Jeff Ballentine days of 1989-91. In the 80s, Z also used to make fun of WTUE on the air. Most stations are quite conservative these days and don't go in the direction that they used to. Sadly, guerilla warfare radio is dead. For a station in 2012, Q102 has an awesome sound. Also, yes, I am glad Cheap Channel didn't swallow up Q102. Good thing that their owners, Hubbard, believe in live and local radio.

Guerrilla warfare radio died with deregulation. Now radio is virtually dead, as a form of entertainment for any one who is in their 20's and 30's.
