CHR...80s Which did you prefer

I was listening to some old jingles the other day and thought I would pose this question. Back in the day, which station did you prefer (by market)

WZZU 94Z or WDCG G105
WKZL Hot Hits, or WKSI 98.7 Kiss Fm

Out of the region...
WROQ Charlotte or WBCY

WZZU there for a year or so about the time of Van Pelt <sp, but G105 was the long term best station.

WKZL Hot Hits, or WKSI 98.7 Kiss Fm -
WKZL always felt better when more rock oriented. Liked Kiss better

WROQ Charlotte or WBCY
ROQ was THE station back in the day with a hard edge, but BCY was good too and more GF friendly.

Listened to both, but G105 was my favorite in the late '80s. Around 1989-90, 94Z went new rock and G105 added too much urban, so I didn't really listen to either one after that.

Also listened to WKSI, but didn't really listen to WKZL until their early 1990s "107.5 The Eagle" days.

I too was a big fan of both Randy/Spiff and Diane Tracy. But I also like Chrissy Hart on WROQ as well. Plus WROQ had Bill Catcher and Pete Richards.

I always preferred KSI; I thought it was light years ahead of WKZL at the time.

And, it was a tough call between G105/94Z because the imaging was great on both but for me, the dial went to 94Z more often

Loved both G-105 and 94-Z in 1985-86, but after 1987, listened to G105 more as 94-Z went toward Rock 40 (and later Album Rock before settling on Classic Rock).

WKSI all the way . I didn't care for WKZL back then.

As for Charlotte, it would have to depend on what year. I liked Z100 and WROQ in 1984-85, WROQ in 1986, WBCY in 1987 and Kiss 102 in 1988-89.

I forgot about Z100 but I can remember trying to adjust my rotor antenna multiple ways to try and bring it in and was always happy when I could, which wasn't very often.
