CHR Dethrowned Itself!

With my Black Hat firmly resting atop, I have often pointed out how foolish AC stations are for granting airplay to a stack of worthless Country crossover records. However, it was a different compromise that demoted CHR below "Today's Country".
I want disclose the name of the Ragazine, but their intials are G.Q. On the cover of one of their recent issues, pictured Eminem, Keith Richards, and Lil' Wayne. The blurb read: Eminem, Keith Richards, Lil' Wayne,...& 43 other Gods of Rock.
Now, Lord Richards may be too old to even care, but the other two are not Gods of anything, especially ROCK! Just another compromise to please the masses. In the news yesterday, "Leading the way, with 7-Grammy nominations, Kanye West.".
RUN DMC is in The Rock & Roll Hall of Frame(shame), but KISS is not! It was as far back as '79, were the Rap airplay began to erode the upper part of the CHR demo. As the number of worthless songs were added to the playlist, the more juvenal the overall preception grew. Granting airplay to people who can not sing. Today's CHR needs to egnore anything said by the labels, and GPS the Big picture. It's simply, let the Churbans have all that Hips and/or Hops! Then, the CHR's, and even the Hot AC's will have a license to print money! Bail on it...because it is on the way out!
CHR Dethrowned Itself!

CHR isn't the only one, just look at Country Music and the way it is headed. Water down the music by mixing whatever it takes into the mix of what they now try to call Country Music and keep the money flowing at least until it caves in on itself. It's kind of like mixing the colors of paint together you start out with beautiful bright colors but you think gee I can mix these and make more shades of colors and make more money. So you mix and mix and mix and as you do the colors get less and less bright but the money still flows but then all of sudden one day you have no more color shades to mix it all looks or sounds the same and your left with a useless shade of dark gray paint or sound and the money stops flowing with no way back to the bright colors you once had but you big money for a while. You think CHR is the only thing to dethrown itself with watered down radio and radio stations on one hand or watered down so called Country Music on the other CHR will have a lot of friends to share the problem with in the future it's just a matter of time.
