CHR gains one in Charleston...but also loses one

Cromwell CHR/Pop WQZQ/102.5 The Party in the Nashville, TN market is set to become Hot AC in the next few days as "Venus 102.5"

Good Riddance! :)

102.5 The Party is the lowest rated CHR in the country. While it does well in Clarksville, where it's based out of, it's aimed at Nashville where its ratings are pitiful.
Mediabase and BDS have stopped acknowledging this radio station a couple of years back due to its lackluster performance, so this isn't much of a loss.
102.5 The Party sounded much better when it first signed on around 97.

I agree, Party went downhill fast, when they lost their Rhythic-Dance lean, and tried to compete with 107.5 the river,,, And im sure you know, that Partys signal sucks, compared to Rivers 107.5 signal. It does have 100,000 watts, but for some reason the signal just sucks on 102.5, and its only about 30 miles away, with 100,000 watts. The signal starts to weaken really bad Going east on I-24 while going down a big hill about 10 miles West of Nashville, and the signal never recovers, it sounds weak, and it suffers from Multipath all through the city. They used to Simulcast on 102.1, but that signal was an even bigger joke.

I was born and raised in Murfreesboro, and I never knew about QZQ until I got in radio in '00.
