I'm looking for a new imaging package for a medium/smaller sized market. I don't have the time to produce everything from scratch, so I need one of those plug 'n play setups, where sweepers/music promos come pre-produced and ready for the local voice guy to be dropped in. Do you guys recommend anything? I've already looked into plugandplayimaging.com, shortbusradio.com, and splatonline.com. Anything else you can point me towards what be greatly appriciated!

King Size Radio (from BRG/Premiere)

or if you would like to consider just workparts check out IN-FX-ION from Gene Wooten Creative:

Good Luck!

Try www.chasecuts.com, it's a Premiere Radio service.

Produced by former WFLZ Creative Director Eric Chase, arguably the best CHR producer in the country.

YES! Wow, Chase Cuts is the sound I was looking for... BUT... are there a lot of fully produced sweepers and beat match mx promos? Or is this just a bunch of really cool sounding sfx and beds to make your own imaging from scratch? They don't have a lot of info about this on the website. Either way, it does sound great! Do you know what the cost is? Is it barter?

There is a lot of both and it is a barter arrangement. Personally, I really don't like it when stations that use Chase Cuts use all of the preproduced stuff. Get creative, make your own, find your own sound and for God's sake lets not hear the same Eric Chase produced "new music...fast, free and completely legal" sweeper on every &*($ chr in the country.

In a perfect world, my friend. The station is small market with almost no budget. Need something fast that sounds great so I can concentrate on the 20 other jobs I work daily for peanuts for.

Luckily for me, local listeners will never know other CHRs would have the same imaging. Even IF they were to take a road trip and hear the same sweeper, a very few minority would notice. Remember, MUSIC is the star, that's all they pay attention to. Imaging works on a subconcious level.

Re: CHR Imaging/Chase Cuts

My production services are available on a barter basis. You would be able to recieve custom Imaging, Fully produced. Contact me off this site for more info.

Gee, thanks for telling me how my job works. Typical small market attitude though, that music is the star...Why should you just settle for that? Why shouldn't ever single element of the station (music, staff, imaging, even commercials) combine to make one huge SUPERSTAR of a station?

Does your PD run any premiere shows/prep service? They will usually work out a good barter system to run both chasecuts barter (or any other imaging package) and others. See what the PD says, goodluck, there are plenty of other packages out there that are very well priced.

Music IS the star, bottom line. Sorry to break it to you. Again, in a perfect world where money was no object, of course imaging, talent, and music would make one huge SUPERSTAR of a station. It just can't happen the way you want with our situation. Hey, if you want, you can feel free to produce completeley original imaging for us for free. No? Thought so. God forbid 22 year old "Jennie" hears a similar sweeper in Casper, WY that reminded her of what she heard in Syracuse NY! There is a reason why companies offer this premade imaging service. It's not that we at my station are lazy, we just want to sound as good as the LOCAL competition without spending money and time we don't have.

By the way, thanks to everyone for the suggestions! You guys rock.

eastsidah obviously doesnt work in a small market where you have 8 billion things to do all at once... and as an imaging guy i dont really believe in using the plug and play stuff but have used it in the past and know where hes coming from... and in all reality music really is the headliner of a radio station. would people like to listen to a station that only had jocks talking and imaging playing and no music?
