CHR/Pop HD Radio Multicasts.

WPOW, a Rhythmic in Miami just launched a dance sub channel and big buzz has Clear Channel doing the same with it's Channel 955 in Detroit. One must wonder what other CHRs will launch as a HD Radio 2nd channel format to compliment their main channel. But that doesn't mean that Dance is always a given. Could we see Hip Hop, Hot AC, International CHR, and other side formats being a companion to your CHR/Pops main format?

Here's a list of CHRs I follow that could go anyway with the Multicast route. Feel free to add ones you follow to the list.

WHTZ: Mabye Dance. Though sister KTU will likely take that. Hmmm, how about all 90s?

KIIS: Non Stop Hip Hop.

WKSC: Mabye Dance, but will Hurban be here instead?

Kiss 108/Boston: Dance? Or Hot AC?

KHKS/Dallas: Dance

KBRE Houston: Dance

Y100 Miami: Dance

WFLZ Tampa Bay: Dance

WXXL: Dance

KSLZ: Dance

WNOU: Likely Hip Hop, but mabye Dance isn't ruled out.

KKOB ABQ: Dance or Hip Hop.

WSTO/Evansville: Carries WEOA-AM's format(currently broad based Urban). Or even Hot AC. Though the Hot AC thing should be placed on sister WIKY's HD multicast.

Mix 100.7 Terre Haute: 2nd sub channel could be Dance

Thoughts? Stations you wanna predict?

Maybe a Modern Rock, or an edgy CHR, similar to Z's sound in the early to mid 90s.

Nope, sister station The Beat already leans on Hip Hop. If anything KIIS-FM will launch a Dance oritented station.

Nope Hurban will probably be launched by one of the Spanish companies either in HD, or on a main frequency.

Or a Dance/Hip Hop combo.

Probably Dance or Hot A/C
