CHR/Pop Stations Keep Popping Up - What About Denver?

There's a lot of new CHR/Pop stations popping up all over the country in recent weeks. Undoubtedly chief among them are Energy 103.7 San Diego and the new 105.3 in Norfolk.
Other recent additions (all from the past four weeks) include Star 105 Toledo, 101.3 Kiss FM in Bryan-College station, the new Hit 100.7 Bloomington-Normal, Hits 96.1 in Spokane, Now 92.1 Hagerstown, Q-92 Fort Walton Beach, and I-104.3 Erie.

About a month ago Mobile Alabama lost its heritage CHR - 97.5 WABB, but the CHR/Pop hole was instantly filled by the new 104.1 WABD, and by nearby Pensacola's 107.3 Hit Music Now.
Last week Denver lost its only CHR/Pop outlet, Hot 107.1, which actually rimshots into most of the market. With Hot flipping to Top 40/Dance, and with CHR/Pop doing so well nationally, one has to wonder who will step up to fill the vacant Top 40 slot in the market.

The 3 most likely candidates to go CHR/Pop are:
*95.7 The Party. KPTT is a Pop-leaning Rhythmic CHRr, and plays second fiddle to Denver's longtime heritage Rhythmic KS 107.5. Additionally, KPTT is owned by Clear Channel, which lately is on a land rush to launch new CHRs
*100.3 KIMN. This Hot A/C station sounds pretty hot at night supporting titles by the likes of Wiz Khalifa, Calvin Harris, and Flo Rida's "Good Feeling". Its main rival is our third candidate.
* Alice 106. Denver's other Hot A/C is virtually tied in the ratings with KIMN in terms of share and cume. This former Modern A/C, like other Modern A/Cs across the country, is playing more Rhythmic/Pop hits in all dayparts, and as such is a good candidate to make the flip.

I don't see anybody picking up the Top 40/CHR format in Denver. Besides, KS107.5 and 95.7 the Party are already broad-based rhythmics and do well in the ratings. As for Hot 107.1, their ratings have been mediocre from the start due to its rimshot signal. After Hot 107.1 flipped to dance, out of market 98.9 Magic FM became the default CHR for denver.
